For those of you that have requested car quotes from forum dealers, what has been your response time for your request? I requested a quote from a dealer on a car that would need to be ordered with a delivery to another part of the country. The request was sent through their web site on Monday evening and as of Friday evening there has been no response.
if you want advice, it depends....it depends on how badly you want a quote. my good friend in biz tells me to always contact people two different ways. in your case, an email and a phone call, letter, card, whatever.
as I said, it depends on how badly you want it. for the time it took to post up here, you could've done 2 or 3 different ways to contact s/he at the dealer.
and yeah, I know s/he should WANT the sale and get back to you.....so? whatcha gonna do?
Sending a quote request thru a dealer website isn't the best way if you want to work with a Forum Supporting Dealer. An email request directly to the sales rep for the Supporting Dealer is the best. Having said that, I got 7 to 8 replies out of 10 requests last November when I sent out requests for ordering my 2011 ZR1. I was disappointed that I never got replies from Kerbecks or Ross Downing as the two I best remember. Got rock bottom pricing from 2 or 3 of the Supporting Dealers and I ordered with Tommy Jr at MacMulkin as he went the extra mile to get assurances from GM that the car would be built before the Christmas holidays so that I would qualify for the incentives available at that time before the end of the year.
