Parked at the back of walmart...shopping cart punks (PIC inside)
Whenever I can, I park away from everyone. At walmart yesterday I got out and as I walked away, a guy from a nearby bus stop called out to me that I missed the spot and parked on the line. I was literally in the store for 3 minutes picking up something I ordered online. When I came out, shopping carts were all around my car. The bus had not run so the guy was still there. I took two pics of the car and then walked to the guys. I snapped a pic of the guys and asked if they did it. "It's a possibility," the punk said.
I said, "you might have seen on the back that I'm an attorney." (It says Attorney at Law on my plate frame.) "You see those cameras on the building over there (pointed)? I've represented people who have been charged with crimes in this very parking lot and those videos are what convicted them. If there's a scratch on my car, I've got your picture, I'll find out who you are and bust you." They immediately apologized and said they didn't scratch the car, etc etc and would never hurt my car like that. I introduced myself and they gave me their names, Donnie and Sam (real? who knows?). Then I talked them into helping me move the carts away from my car.
Punks being punks but I suppose it's all in good fun. The car wasn't touched and I didn't have to kill anyone.

Looks like you had occupied about 4 spaces - that may have been why the punks messed with you. I always park out in the boonies, but always in one space.

Yeah, I gotta agree with the previous poster. I will park away, most of the time. Not so far as to draw unwarranted attention AND only one spot. Parking a car like that in four spots says something like, yeah, I'm special; the normal rules do not apply to me.

Well, the OP looks like he parked in 4 spaces, but there were no other cars around ... and as far as those 2 parking lot boys are concerned ... I doubt they put all those carts around his Corvette just because he was in more than 1 parking spot. There not bright enough to consider that.
The reason those 2 boys put the carts all around his car in the first place is because there are pretty much brain dead to begin with and don't have the ability to properly evaluate the present situation and make a rational action.

People always want to annoy us when we park our cars. I always try to park away from the crowds when in public lots and someone always decides to park right next to me no matter how far away I park. Its just to aggravate us.

I probably wouldn't think so if it was my vette, but I wouldn't have parked like that either.
Since no damage was done, it obviously was done for the humor. They didn't slap the carts up into the car, but obviously CAREFULLY PLACED them there. Then they didn't even run, probably to watch your reaction.
If your best friends would have done that to your awkwardly parked car, would you have seen the humor?

I too park away from everyone when I go to Walmart, but I know even when I do this that taking up more than one spot is NOT a smart thing to do and draws unwanted attention.

It's actually pretty funny. Sorry man, but first off BOYCOTT walmart, second dont take your 50k+ Vette there, and third, its funny.. laugh cuz that was funny. At least they didnt scratch it! geez!

I think you came out of this OK. They could have keyed your Corvette and left the scene.
