Trans slip??
2006 c6 auto, was getting on a freeway today and flogged it. Trouble is, I got to about 4k in 2nd and the trans slipped momentarily. I thought that maybe I hit a bump, but I tried it again on the freeway, and it seems to slip again! Have 65 k on the car, very well maintained. What's happening

My experience with automatics might be low on fluid. I would check your fluid level. While you are checking it, see if the fluid has a metallic flakes in it. This will be a sign of the clutches going bad. There can be a burnt smell coming from the fluid. This is also a sign the clutches are gone or very close to it. I hope it is low fluid level.
