I have an 07 and when I entered my vin# on the Comp Nine website it would always come back as being a rarity, only 1 made with the options I have. That got me a little excited but then I realized it had my build date as Dec. 31, 1999. No wonder my car was 1 of a kind. They could never get it right so for me they weren't a good service

I started a thread on this very subject last week..

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/off-...-good-bye.html

I ran probably a 100 VIN's through Compnine during my search for the right Vette and I found it very accurate.

Compnine was an instrumental part of my purchase process and a valuable tool.

It was very accurate for me. The secret is knowing that EVERY option is turned on by default and the build week is one of the options. You needed to turn off all of the options and then start adding them one by one to get a response that wasn't almost guaranteed to say your car is unique.

That site never looked like a legit parts source, but the diagrams/ part# listings were a great tool.

One more reason to back up good information when you find it.

Are there any similar sites still operating?
