Front License Plate - Old School Solution?
I was browsing online tonight, and was reading about one of the few cars I feel is sexier than a corvette, the Jaguar XKE. I came upon this picture of one, which has a front license plate the was either painted on or is a decal. It looks like the jaguar guys 50 years ago had the same problem as C6 corvette people have today.
Does anyone know the history of this? I have never seen a decal license plate on another car, and I believe its only in the UK. Could someone who owns a new corvette in the UK do a front decal license plate, and would it even look half-decent?

I think the Brits let you design and make your own front plates (within certain guideline of course). Pm DeeGee (usually on the C5 forum) and maybe he will have a better answer (he's RAF pilot (I think) who did so training in US and took home a C5).
