Periodically, All of the dash instruments, the A/C, Power windows, door locks, ect fail. I have to disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect it to restore the system. I have been told that it may be the body control module. Anyone have a similar experience??
Never heard of anyone having your particular issue. I also have never heard of a "body control module" before either. Definitely sounds like the cars computer is obviously having some issues. I assume you have checked out your battery to make sure it is holding a proper charge? Low voltage from a bad battery can cause all the electronics to act like they are possessed.
Take it to a qualified Corvette mechanic at one of your local Chevrolet dealers and let them run some diagnostics. A problem like what you are describing has got to be throwing some codes and a good mechanic should be able to figure it out without too much difficulty.
Check the battery and all connections to the battery and BCM.
Hey Ed, I just noticed he has duplicate thread about the same issue and he says he has a new battery.
How's the car been running? I still get a little rise in blood pressure when I think about the issues we both experienced, but at least the cars been great. Talk to ya later, Tim

It's been in the 50's and 60's. The blower is loving it. The tires, not so much.

I read where someone had a similar issue. It was the connector to the BCM. Look under the carpet on the passenger floor. The issue turned out to be the passenger's feet were moving and wiggling the connector. The owner added a piece of plastic to hold the cover up so it no longer contacted the connector.
Uhhh, Tim? BCM. Body Control Module. It is the master computer that controls stuff related to the body such as doors and lights and instruments. The ECM controls the engine and is what people tune. Then there are dozens of other "computer" modules that control various system components.
