I had worn 4th gear synchros in a Porsche 928S...when I would de-celerate in 4th and/or lift off the throttle, it would
pop out of 4th gear. I just held it in.
Never had it fixed 'cause I didn't want to incur the time/expense of the repair...drove fine.
But it was an old car; your C6 is new/newer...still under power-train warranty ?
bring it to a dealer that knows what they're doing...

you have to do your due diligence and work with the system while under warranty, or use a GM-certified
non-dealer repair facility that will be pre-approved for the work...
ask around your local/regional corvette clubs...see who the members use.
Consider COW possibly (forum supporting vendor)...near you ?
It should be under warranty. It needs to be fixed. Take it to a dealer that does a good business in Corvettes. They should take care of your car. Lots of good dealers out there. We only hear about the bad ones on here.

Not on Vetts but on a number of cars I have driven over the years. Heard of grinding when shifting into second on some Vetts. Seems like that was on C5s'. You say it only happened a few times. Are you sure you are putting it all the way in gear. I would have it looked at while you still have warranty. If you take it in just tell them it jumps out of second sometimes. Don't try to tell them what the problem is unless you are 100% sure. Can you make it jump out of gear by getting on it hard in second?

No it only happens when I am going slow into 2nd gear. Not when I get on it. It is hard to shift into 2nd gear and when I try it "jumps out" if that makes sense ? Thanks.
