Washing my car for the first time I noticed that on the driver side of the back bumper there is a spot about 6 inches long and 2 inches high with some kind of clear glue.. I assume this is where the previous dealer stuck their emblem. Car was a dealer trade to my dealer.
I have dealt with emblem glue on vehicles before but never on something as flexible as the this. And by flexible I mean both the bumper and the glue. This glue seems much more resistant to being cleaned off than what I have seen before..
GooGone or equivalent won't hurt the clearcoat. You might be able to work it off with fingers or a rubber squeegee, especially it it is heated first, then use the citrus degreaser in the residue. Final clean with soap & water. Avoid WD-40.

Just rub a thin layer of peanut butter on it, let it sit 2 or 3 minutes and wipe it off. Best thing I have found to remove residual glue and will not harm paint.

Plain or "chunky"? sorry, couldn't resist.
I've used peanut butter as well to remove wax residue on black plastic trim on other cars as well.
