console plastic creaking
I've had my console apart a few times , the last time recently to change out to new shifter box. Lately the console has this plastic creaking sound when ever your leg leans on it or or any kind of pressure applied to any part of the console it gets creaky. Any cures to quite down the sound of cheap plastic ?

Is it the latch on the console cover maybe? Mine was making a creaking noise every time I leaned on the console cover. I took it apart and took the latch out and no more creaking. That latch was pretty useless anyway.

Not sure, but when my elbow presses on the console lid it also makes noise.

My "cheap" plastic console that I have never messed with is a quiet as can be.
