What product to clean interior
What is the best product to clean the interior? I"m looking for something to clean the dash and doors. The dealer detailed my car out a while back and there is some blue-ish residue left over. I usually just use a damp towel to take off the dust.

The ICE total interior spray is the best interior cleaner that can be easily found at most store. It works very well on vinyl, rubber, leather and light carpet stains. Does a very good job of cleaning without giving a greasy look/feel.
If you want more boutique/online type product I like the Detailer's Pride Total Interior Cleaner that you can buy through Autogeek. It's very, very good.

I've tried almost everything and the best I've found is 303 Protectant. This stuff is great. It gives the dash and door panals a rich satin look and last the longest. It takes care of the white chalky stuff on the plastic.
I can't take credit for finding it. It came highly recommended from another post on the forum.
You can find it at West Marine.

Mild soap, & water works great. After cleaning apply a propectant of your choice many like 303 Protectant.

I use meguiars interior protectant, but to be honest it really doesn't matter unless you prefer glossy vs. non-glossy. You could literally buy and use whatever is on sale that week at the local autoparts store and be fine.

White 100% cotton towel, dampened with warm water. For stubborn stains, use a little hand soap.
Works on the dash and the leather and the fabric.

We traded our 2001 at 5 yrs/66k miles, traded the 2006 at 3 yrs/44k miles, and now have 2 yrs/38k miles on the 2009. The interiors all looked like new except for some slight friction wear on the corner of my seat bolster, and the leather wrinkles that appeared by the time we got home from delivery; I don't think any chemical would help that.
I've avoided any chemicals because I personally dislike any shine or "coated" appearance on the interior and would accept some deterioration over time. But despite all the other stuff that gives us problems, our interiors have held up very well (I use aftermarket floor mats on the carpets).
Seriously, maybe I'm missing something.

I guess that's true, but ours don't seem to need any protecting, which really surprises me.

I have the 303 but only use it on the exterior weatherstrip.

I'm using Blue Magic leather and vinyl cleaner and conditioner on the interior.
