Default Anybody have SR1 wheels??

I've been looking at getting a set of SR1 wheels. Anyone have them on their C6 and if so, how do they like them?? Plus, any down sides?

Also, pictures would be nice.

I heard of another possible problem. I'm pretty sure that there was a member on here whose wife bought him a set for his birthday after they saw them at a show.

The problem was that they come in an offset that is a compromise so that they will fit both a C5 or a C6. The offset is not the exact C6 offsets so the wheel stuck out slightly past the fenders. Not a lot as I remember but enough that the member noticed it once they were on his car.

Best that you confirm what the offsets are first, before you buy.

Hmmm, the trouble he had I wonder if it was the "exception" and not the "rule"? However, I'm just running stock tires and wouldn't expect any problem. They sure look nice. In my experience with WCC over the last several years and 2 Corvettes has been stellar. Hope things have not changed. Love to know if he fixed the problem.

I was the one with the original problem, between getting an alignment done and having the tires and rims remounted for a third time it appears that all my issues have been resolved. The rears have an offset of 65mm which sticks out about a half an inch more than stock wheels that have a 78mm offset.

Here are a couple of pics

Thanks, halo is actually hydrocarbon, which looks black from certain angles.

Nice looking car!

Glad that you got everything worked out so that you no longer have a rubbing issue.

Thanks. Had the option to return them but there was nothing that I liked better while staying withing a similar budget. Hope this helps the OP make a decision.

Wow they really do look nice. I've been debating to either get the SR1's or Spyders. I think the SR1's just jump out & I think they'd look really good on my Monterey Red coupe. Thanks George for your input!

Mike, check out my e-mail for my experience with WWC. Also make sure you'll be okay with the offset. I did NOT like the tires sticking out when I had Ronals on my FRC. That is the main reason I wanted to just get OEM wheels.
