The other day, at a stop light, I noticed a young fellow and his girl friend (I assume) looking at my GS from behind me. The light changed, I rounded the corner. The young man zips into the righthand lane and pulls up next to me. I was not sure what was going on. They are both looking and looking, jabbering back and forth. He hardly keeps it in his lane, drifting into the far one. They pull ahead, all the while he is looking back and trying to drive. Then, he slows down, pulls in behind me and off to the left lane and once again up even with me. His girl is looking now. Chattering and looking. She wants him to pull up further so she can see my GS from the front. He does so.

I am amused. Cautiously amused and driving defensively for the most part. Not wanting to find myself too close for comfort. Another intersection and they turn and are gone.

What a great thing it is to be able to own a Vette. Fun to drive. Fun for others to ogle. Fun to take my wife out in.

I, for one, am thankful.

Craig

Yellow with black stripes looks very nice (in my opinion).

When I rented a Corvette ZHZ (yellow and black), it got LOTS of attention and praise. But no one gives a damn about my silver car.

I pulled into my subdivision back a couple months ago, and there was an older man in his late 60's, early 70's walking his dog. As I turned the corner, I gave him a hello gesture with my hand, and he gave me a cartwheel gesture with his index fingers, the old feller wanted me to light em up

Of course I didn't, because I don't want irritated neighbors, but I smiled and shook my head as I headed down the street towards my driveway. Part of me wished I had now, felt like I let him down, something in him wanted it.

My wife says, "everyone stares at your car, and nobody even looks at mine." She has a new red Kia Sportage.

It's a sexy car. What do you expect?

Happens to me, as well.

BTW...I am thakful for many things in my life. Not a car, though.
Not to say I don't LOVE my GS!
Fantastic machine!

I notice that I don't get many looks anymore after moving to central TX. In these parts TRUCKS are king!
