I have been dealing with a forum dealer on a brand new JSB 2011 G/S coupe with heritage package 3 lt options, no nav or dual mode exhaust MSRP is 65,985. I have negotiated a price of 53,373 is this a good deal ?

The dealer near me had a 2011 orange GS 3LT vert in the showroom. Sticker was $69K, they were asking $60K. Your discount is more. The dealer was still offering 0% 60 month financing on it. I think the discount difference is a $3,000 GM discount if you don't finance.

Is this optioned as you like?
I would say anything $11K, or more off msrp is great.
My 3LT coupe, with NPP, no nav. 6cd player listed about $64K. I paid $51K.

I think it's a bit high for a 2011 and no NPP. Is it auto or 6 speed as well? If its manual it's is really not a good deal. It's almost 2 years old now. I got my 2011 GS with NPP and auto 3lt with the heritage package and comp grey wheels for 52.5. I say you can do better.
Chrome wheels or stock or comp grey? Options really make a difference in price.

That may depend upon the state, but most states DO NOT allow you to deduct the rebates when calculating sales tax. The sales tax (title tax) is paid on the price before the rebates. Only the dealer discount, but not the rebates are deducted in calculating the price for sales tax purposes.

Good point. Some states only charge the sales tax on the trade-in difference. So if you are doing a trade-in you actually save on the sales tax versus buying the new car outright and selling your car yourself.

I would consider that a good deal.

Yes it is a good deal and if it has everything you want then buy it. Someone always going to tell you about a better deal and all that good stuff.
Buy it, enjoy it.
