Default Sharp Turn

When backing from being parked and making a sharp turn, seems like the front tires are "skipping out". Normal? Also, power steering makes some noise. Thoughts?

If you are driving a GS, the front tires are as large as the rears on a base C5. A lot more rubber on the ground so they will tend to bind in a tight slow turn. In the owners manual it will reference the condition, saying it's normal.

You need to post a little more info on your PS.....year of car, fluid level OK, is it old fluid or been on the track (overheated) etc.

Welcome to the world of wide, grippy tires.

I have a C6 coupe, and this happens to me. It is normal for tires this wide to do this.

Definitely feel some "scrubbing" on slow, sharp turns with my GS.

GM cannot do anything to fix the problem, unless they want to put narrow tires on the Vette.

It's normal. Don't fret it.
