I'm currently in the market to buy an 08 C6. Was hoping to find something in the range of close to 30k miles. Found one listed at $31k (2LT) with 34k miles.
Also found one at $29k (3LT) with 56k miles. I'm sure I can talk down the price some but what range would be a ripoff? Or should I not even bother with the car that has 56k miles?
My goal overall is to have a good car with an out the door price @ $30k.
The estimator seems close. My main concern it the mileage already over 50k miles. Are there some specific things I should check and take notice of when or if I go back to look at it again?
Heck, the only 2 problems I've had with my '08 between the 11 K mark and the current 95 K mileage were both my fault. I'm also guessing I drive a lot harder than the average Corvette owner.
Unless you're extremely abusive, the $29K 56Kmi car sounds OK to me.
I have over 125,000 miles on my 07, as long as the maintenance was done, the car should be fine. I would also have a PPI "Pre Purchase Inspection" done by a good mechanic. The worst thing you can do to a machine, is let it sit.
just purchased mine from a bmw dealership, 2 owner, 2006 lt3, 38k miles for $29,900. i also purchased the 4/48 warranty. hope that helps with your decision.
Buy the newest, lowest mileage one you can afford. When it comes time to sell or trade, the lower the miles the better. JMO
FWIW If the two cars you are talking about are the same year,it sure would not be worth giving up 22 thousand miles for the difference between a 2lt and 3lt.

Right now the 2005s with around 20-25000 miles are in the $28-$30,000 range. You'll probably have to pay a little more than that for a 2008. I'm guessing in the $35,000 for a decent one.
Nothing wrong with a 56K mi Vette, but if only $2K more for one at 34K mi, I'd be willing to spend for it. Options don't mean much in used market pricing, but best getting most of what you want, as what's included in the different packages over the years seems to be changing. Maybe best avoiding stuff you'll never use, as just more things to break over the years.
This is my 2004 GMC 2500HD 6.0 gasoline engine mileage. It's never had any engine issues except an oil pump replacement at 275,000 miles. I've never added a drop of oil between 6,000 mile oil change intervals and it's as dry as a bone underneath the engine.
While not exactly a Corvette engine; the similarities are numerous. GM builds a bullet proof V-8!
