Default Black out lights?

Can you use window tint to black out the side marker lights and the rear lights? I bought black outs for my last vette but wasn't real happy wiht the way they looked.

op are u talking about spraying them?

If you want to spray them, go to a paint shop and tell them you want them tinted. They will use a clear coat/ black paint mix. it will look great.

If you are talking about tint film, i don't think you can use it. I asked my tinter if he could use the film on the side markers, he said when it dried it will crack the lens. Your tint man can order a special film to use.

I have the acrylic blackouts on the rear. They look great. No one can tell they are covers.

I don't have the sides done yet. I'm ganna have my tint man order me the proper film.

The best look would be to use the paint shop. It will look great, but it's a pain in the ace to remove all the lenses.

Don't do it yourself and spray them with vht nightshade. Cheap looking and will fade over time. JMO

I got a precut vinyl kit from EBAY. I used a hair dryer to heat them up as I formed them on the lights. They turned ot great.

I had my painter perform the paint work on my tail lamps. It turned out great and they light up very well when I step on the brake or turn on the driving lights.

Yes. In fact after a big disappointment with what one of the forum vendors sent me to tape on the side markers, I went
to a pro tint shop and had all 4 corner markers tinted for $60. That was 5 years ago and they still look perfect. You'll need
to use heavy dark film to cover the amber & red plastic.
