C6 Radar Detector Testing
Many have asked what is the best detector for my C6. Well today a few of my buddies and myself spent 6 hours testing a majority of the detectors available today.
The test course was setup to get minimal detection range in order to speed up the process.
For those wondering I could actually get speed readings at about .1 miles on this course.

Excellent info (as usual). You should keep a list of your favorite top 5 detectors too, like you posted last year or so. The "which radar detector is best" topic comes up so frequent.

The thing is my top 5 may not be your top 5 or even what's best for your application.
From the testing data and my experience though there is no argument that the STi-R Plus is the best thing going for ANY application, if you can afford it. After that it's Redline, V1, STi Magnum and 9500ix, depending upon your driving style and personal preferences.
What the testing really shows is that there are only small differences in the 4 or 5 top detectors. Buy the one that keeps you happy and it should protect you from 99% of all encounters with radar. As a friend of mine once said, countermeasures don't make you invincible, they just even the playing field a bit. You have to be perfect every encounter, the LEO only needs to be lucky once.
Laser is a different story though, no defense except LI!
