HELP - Onstar Bluetooth Question

I have a 2005 with Onstar, Can I buy a used 2011 onstar unity with bluetooth and switch it out with my unit and have access to bluetooth?? Are they interchangeable??

I know about bluestar, and that's my alternative if this doesn't work

Bluetooth has nothing to do with onstar.

Hi labworm - If you really want Bluetooth, the OnStar FMV mirror might be the way to go. The only thing to consider is that you will lose the remote features of OnStar that is embedded in your vehicle (Remote Door Unlock, Vehicle Diagnostics). You will still get all of the core safety and connectivity features though, like Automatic Crash Response, Roadside Assistance, Turn-by-Turn Navigation, and of course, Bluetooth.
