C6 wont start.......again :(
Hey fellas,
I had the starter replaced on my 2007 C6 Corvette over the summer. The whole unit...not just the solenoid. Now, it appears that my car is having difficulties starting again less than 7 months later. What are the chances that the starter they replaced is failing? Could it be something else? I've checked fuses, battery is new, full tank of premium gas (as always). I can't think of anything else. Car has 60K on the ticker.

Your thoughts?
Well you dont say anything about having replaced the battery so thats where i'd start. Car is going on 5 years old w that many miles, its time if you have not already done so.

My bet is that the starter was not the problem in the first place and whatever the real problem is, it has returned. We need more info on the situation though...just "difficulties starting" is not enough to go on. It may be a fob issue, fuel, battery etc.
You can get a bad replacement battery and although new, it might not be good. Same goes for the starter. One area of concern is the battery cable/clamp mechanism is not a very good setup from the factory so you might want to insure its clean and tight. The factory clamp doesn't tighten as much as is needed. Now you say you are having "difficulties" in getting the car started. Please define "difficulties" for us...turns over but doesn't fire up...doesn't turn over or turns over slowly? Security or other warnings on the IPC?
