Thanks I also found another post on this forum that provided informaiton on TPS Motorsports for powder coating. Has anyone used TPS for powder coating?
For what it is worth, I bought Z06 brakes from TPSMak and they offered to powder coat them but I chose to let Mike do it instead. They may be fine, but I KNOW mike's work.
I say find someone local and save half the money.
Powdercoating isn't difficult for professional shops. Most have websites with pics and you can view thier work in person as well. We have several in my area and they do good work and the quality is pretty much on par with each other. Some charge as much as 30-40% more for the same quality work.
A simple google search will produce results or go to the forum in your area on here and ask around. That's what I did and had many options to choose from.
We have A-LOT of stuff powdercoated, and virtually every single time I've had brakes done locally, it is just as much as having Mike do it.
So unless you go to a desperate shop, I highly doubt you'll find it cheaper. PLUS, with Mike, he is able to keep the corvette lettering on the C6Z whereas other shops dont have a clue how. When it comes to the C5's and base C6, all other shops do is polish the color off the letters. Mike will actually powdercoat the letters black if you want.
