Ive bought alot of parts used. This was by far the worst mistake. What a pain. All the sticky tape needs to be replaced and its super difficult to get off. Next time I won't be cheap and buy new. And after I bought then gene posted them for $86 I paid 75 shipped. That's a kick in the a.. With the time it takes to get the 3m tape off. Owe well lesson learned. So IF you considering used splash guards buy new, its not worth the hassle
don't feel badly; I think many of us have been there with one product or another. fortunately, my average, probably like yours, is pretty good. just chalk it up to one of life's little, "I wish I'd thought of that...." moments.

so you know for the next time, to remove the adhesive tape, bring the part in a warm room and let it get to room temperature, then heat up the tape with a hair dryer and start rolling instead of pulling it off, the tape will come off for sure. Use charcoal ligher fluid to remove any residue. If there is paint smudge on it and these are plastic mudguards, warm up the paint with hair dryer to soften it up a bit and then use some paint remover (it should not react with the plastic if you work quickly and hose it off). Lacquer thinner may react with plastic or it may not, to find out, you can try on inconspicous area to test it.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try heating it tomorrow. Since I only did one out of frustration
