One of the biggest fears with purchasing the Curb Alert is the installation, folks are unsure how "difficult" the installation is.
To make it easy for Corvette drivers, we just created a Corvette specific Curb Alert install package for the C6 that allows you to do the whole installation within 1 hour. Checkout the video on the page below and you can see the entire installation on a 2009 C6.
Corvette Curb Alert
This is a Southern Car Parts exclusive Corvette Curb Alert package for that has everything crimped and ready to go. Run the wires and plug it in to the fuse box under the passenger floor board and you are off and running.
Just select the Corvette Specific Package when checking out and we will "pre-stage" everything for you prior to shipping so you can install it exactly like in the video.

I just ordered this unit from your web site. I have a 2012 GS and want to mount the sensor under the front, there is a black piece that runs the whole distance across with slots on both sides, hope this makes sence to you. Need to use the drivers side slot for the sensor will the cable make it that far? Also the seat heater is being used by exhaust controller so I think the fuse for Onstar looks good it's 10 amp and at the top of a row.

Thanks for the order....
Yes, the sensor cable is plenty long enough. I assume you are talking about the three piece plastic piece under the car and the center part folds back? Are you still going to route the sensor cable up into the engine compartment and then around the A-Pillar like in the video?
As far as where to get power, yes, any fuse slot will work. Just make sure and reuse whatever fuse you pull from the fuse block and put it in the slot on the fuse tap that is offset from the red wire coming into to the tap. There will be two fuses in the fuse tap, a 7.5 amp and a 10amp. If you put the curb alert into a 10amp fuse slot then nothing needs to change with the fuses in the tap. If you put the fuse tap in anything larger than a 10 amp then you need to pull the 10 amp fuse out of the Curb Alert Fuse tap and replace it with the same fuse you pulled from your fuse block. Leave the 7.5amp fuse (the one that is right next to the red wire) in place. This is the fuse for the curb alert. The one that is NOT next to the red wire is the one that will be specific to whatever slot you put the fuse tap into.
Hope this makes sense?
Let me know if I need to try and explain differently.
Thanks,
Jim

I'm very pleased w/mine!!!!!!! can you explain this~
"pre-stage" Thank You.[/QUOTE]
Pre staged means that we have already installed the correct fuse tap and ground lug for your specific vehicle. We also include an additional hardware needed to perform the install (ie; on the C5 we include the correct size ground screw to fasten into the BCM housing). Nobody else selling the Curb Alert does this for you.

How well does this unit work-mounted in the center as pictured-when angle parking? Does it provide enough warning to keep the right front bumper area from striking a curb (low or high?) And is this a high pitched pizzo alarm, a beeping sound or radio shack type siren? I'm somewhat older with high pitch hearing loss and a warning light or low frequency horn may work out better. Sorry for all the questions-

Apparently these units are not any good for angle parking cars or for those individuals with high pitched hearing loss. They are also hard to get a hold of via land line and do not respond well to internet forum questions.
