A good friend asked about the windscreen available from GM for his C6 GS vert
Has anyone installed it?
If so, are you pleased with it/ does it work well?
How is it installed, and how is it mounted for use.
All help is appreciated!!!
Thanks
Marty

Ask your friend to do a search and there are about a thousand threads on the windscreen already with all the information he could possibly need. The wife likes ours because it cuts off about 50% of the wind.

Did the search earlier; found lots on the aftermarket ones, but couldn't find any that were about the GM one, maybe I missed it.
Thanks for the search tip though, I have sent him about 20 links.
If anyone has experience with the GM one please let me know.
THANKS!!!

They all work as advertised but the GM model has to be installed and removed in order to put the top up & down. Some of the after market models can be left in place. Personally, I enjoy the wind buffeting the 7 hairs I have left on my head...

I have one. I had the posts installed by a dealer in case anything went wrong I could take it back for a redo. The screen works well. What I like most is it is mesh and not glass or plastic. Before the GM one I installed a plexiglass screen and it rattled and I was also concerned about scratching it. It is true the GM screen does have to be removed to raise the top, but I haven't found that to be an issue.
As for why would anyone buy a convertible and then use a screen - the screen is handy when at highway speed. It really helps cut down the turbulence. At city driving speeds it isn't all that necessary.
