Driving on highway and was trying to pass a logging truck and a piece of limb flew off the truck and hit my windshield.
It left a large mark (size of silver dollar) right in the line of sight on my windshield. Tried windex with no luck, then tried a little Zymol wax and was able to remove half of it.
An ideas on something else I could try to remove the rest of the scuff?
If the above suggestions dont work try a windshield repair shop. Since Glass is there business they should know what will and wont work short of replacement. Good Luck...

Sure sounds like sap to me. It is doubtful wood would be able to scratch glass. Not all tree sap is created equal and they respond differently to different solvents. Besides WD-40 you can also try alcohol, nail polish remover (don't get on paint!), mineral spirits, and dish soap.
Razor blade - didnt work(couldn't even scratch the spot with corner of blade)
Clay bar - haven't tried that on yet (will have to purchase so will wait till after holidays to go to town for this one)

Will try mineral spirits and polish remover next
I am tempted to put a little buffer wheel on my dremel

If either the branch or the glass had any dirt on it then it could.
