Default C7 Allocation

I have heard that dealers will have to sell a certain minimum amount of cars in the last year of C6 production to be eligible to get the C7 in its first year. Does anybody know what that magic number is ? This may make getting a C7 from a low volume dealer next to impossible and may allow some dealers to to add a hefty markup. It may also make getting a final year C6 that much cheaper.

In before the move to C7.

Its a valid question. Keep in mind, that a low volume dealer that has a C7 to sell, may get a premium price. Or at least ask for one.

I never pay premium. There is always someone that will deal. Search and have patience.

2011 sales will have a small part in allocation, but they gave all dealers notice for THIS years sales so nobody would complain later.....

Is it possible to get C7 on the day it launches for MSRP?

Do we have any Forum Supporting Vendor that is willing to do MSRP on C7?

By that time GM might have the bugs worked out, probably not though. Prices will also be lower since all the must have it first owners already bought their car.

By the 3rd model year prices might be up 20% higher than today though knowing GM.

With the amount of $$$ I spent on the two C6s I bought in the last few years, I'm probably going to take a "C7 break" and wait for the C8...

I'll trade my 09 C6 when they pry it from my cold dead hands...

...or when my warranty expires in 2015, whichever comes first.

Dealers were told they need to sell 4 Corvettes in this model year to get one C7. The small guys who don't sell four Corvettes a year will not get a first year C7.
