How's it going gents and ladies. I Recently doing a H/c package on my 06 ls2. Car is monetary crystal red. Some reason as I waited on my parts to come in I decided to polish anything I can get at least 2 figures to. Yes every bracket, belt tensor, timing chain cover, valve covers. As I was doing this I went to napa and bought some paints... Same color as my car and decided to paint my l76 intake manifold. Paint and materials was about 48$ and by far the best 48$ I spent on the car. 4 coats of primer, 5 coats of paint, 3 coats of clear coat. This looked even better once I added the port and polished tb. I got to thinking... I seen a black chrome kit for aluminum rims at napa and thought about how cool it would be to black chrome the alternator bracket and the water pump cover. I Know my engine bay is going to look really good with the polished motor with black pulleys but I wanna make it unique without spending more then 50$ more. once I figure out how to post pictures on here I will
assembled l76. On the top right side where the tb bolts up to the intake manifold you'll see a small black area not painted from were the tape fell on it and I didn't realized it till it was already painted. I touched it up though and you cant tell the difference unless you look really really close.

ighty Install starts tomorrow... I figure while I wait on the timing chain, und pulley, and headers I can go ahead and get the timing and put the whole top half together. When I get the double roller I'll just swap them and same with the pulley. Here's the engine as of now

sounds great be sure to put a HIGH HEAT primer on before the paint,i had to learn the hard way.......good luck
With the intake manifold... I got a sweet idea of acquiring 1 of our fire suites that are designed to keep cool on the inside while extremely hot on the outside. Thought about cutting it to match the intake while not visible to the eye and putting it between the intake manifold and motor to see if it will help with lowering AIT. Of course I'll have fitment issues but if I have to do some grinding underneath the manifold I will. I will only do this if I'm 100% everything will work
