I had an encounter with a piece of bouncing firewood yesterday. It bounced up grill high, gouged the front fascia, then apparently spun around and took out the grill. At least it didn't get as far as the radiator!

Going to the body shop tomorrow to get an estimate.
BTW, can anybody tell why my first photo doesn't show up?
that sucks. were you following a cord of wood too close or what?...
Apparently Corvette's seem to attract road debris, I caught a Tire that come off someones front end after I bought mine, interestingly I missed a ratchet end of a ratchet strap in my DD about a week earlier on the interstate. So maybe it is just me
That sux! Accidents happen.
Though you try to keep yourself in a safe position, in the flow of traffic, chit still can happen...even when trying to avoid being behind trucks and trailers.

The pickup truck was at least 2 cars up and in the next lane over. It wood came so fast, I didn't have a chance to react. After it hit the grill, it slid off to the left. I'm just glad I didn't actually drive over it. No telling what kind of damage a piece of firewood bouncing around under the car could do...
Just the body shop? There are guys here who would say that damage warrants adding a wide body kit, a supercharger, different wheels and a stereo upgrade.
