Take a CD or DVD and let it sit out and get dusty for a few days. Lightly pass the California Duster over it. You will see that the dust disappears, and NO scratches.
If you try this with some MF rags, they will scratch the CD/DVD. The California Duster attracts the dust, so you just need to use it with a light touch.
Anything you use will leave some subtle almost invisible marks. An MF towel or washing the car will do the same.
I do tend to blow compressed air over the car first, then the California Duster.
I really like the C6, but my biggest complaint is the thin clear coat. I can use any kind of rag on my Caddy with no apparent marks. This is not true with my C6. I have to be much more sensitive with what I use. Having said this, I see no problems with using a California Duster on all my cars.
