So how did I get a 2011 Callaway SC606 Grand Sport Convertible out the door (tax, license, 100K mile warranty) for less than $90K? I think that they got taken if they say the GS convertible is 73K pounds. . . even with VAT.
A Corvette in England costs about the same in pounds as it does here in dollars...I just don't know where the extra money goes....taxes, GM? It's a little similar to Canada in this regard...
There are a lot more sub 5 second cars out there now than there were in 2005....but would anyone here rather have one of those two than a Corvette??? Not me.
Going away, that Nissan looks like you are chasing a really fast Camry....
The GTR would still spank the Z06 from a dead stop. Can't compete with all wheel drive. It would have come in second though.
I think it would be a good race...remember they ran a half mile, so while the GTR jumps out with its' all wheel drive, the Z then has a full half mile to catch up, and hopefully run away....hopefully...
they are taxed to death in the UK (why I moved when I was 16! lol) my brothers and sisters and entire family are still there....I don't complain about gas prices around them! Also, out of those 3, I believe the Vette is the only one you would have to import, the other 2 are on sale and available in the UK (not positive on the GTR though...) so the vette would be the only one to be smacked with thier massive import duties and, being left hand drive, may add more to it to (?) not really a fair comparison anyway, and.... who gives a crap? I like mine.
