Brake Relay Clicking (A Solution)

Brake Relay Clicking (A Solution)
The brake clicking in my '09 Z06 was driving me crazy. For those that don't know what I'm talking about its the sound of the brake relay closing every time you press brake. Not really a problem with windows down and exhaust flaps open, but as I slowly roll to a light, unacceptable! My solution: replace the stock relay with an industrial Solid State Relay. I couldn't find the specs on the stock relay, but I assumed it was a standard 30 amp. I went with a 30 amp SSR which is probably overkill, but I'd rather not burn my baby to the ground.
The noisy relay removed from the passenger foot well.
Guts of the relay.
The base of the relay removed from the coil and contact. This was done because the pins of the relay are smaller than a normal .25" quick disconnect fitting. I decided I'd just solder to the base and use that as a clean way of connecting the wires.
The SSR. 1-50VDC 30 amp load side. 3-32VDC on the control side.
SSR wired to the base of the old relay.
Plugged in the box.
Final install.
Pin out of the wire, this is the fuse box side!
Probably not the cheapest solution, but it works like a charm and NO CLICK!
