I got home just before the auction started. Great looking car. I am just about $599K short of being able to own VIN 1.
Money went to a great cause.

Interesting that they said during the bidding it may possibly be the last year for the 427 motor.

Remeber, they did not sell the car we seen at the auction. They sold the "right to buy" the first 427 Vert for 2012. $600k, WOW.

One thing that wasn't clear to me is whether or not the winning bid actually includes the price of the car. Does anyone here know? I'm thinking that what Ron got for his $600K is the right to order the car and pay an additional amount (M.S.R.P.?) for the actual car that he orders.
