Wanting to put a set of these on my 2005 Coupe, A4. Anyone have these installed and can give some feedback. I need a little more rumble than the current stock system. Any pictures??

I have a set on my 05 vert with a a4. Around 1200 to 1500 there is drone to them. Above that it goes away. They do have a nice rumble and sound good going down the road. I have learned to live with the drone if it gets to bad I pull it into 3rd to bring the revs up.

I would though look at something else with less drone.

I have these on my 05 A4 There is some drone but they sound good. What I did was put Peel and Stick down . I pulled up rear area carpet applied Peel and stick in hatch area behind seats it really helped. This stuff really cuts down on drone and road noise. Best $40.00 bucks I spent.

Make sure you know what drone is and that you can live with it. I thought I did but after a year I went back to stock.

Is this something you can find at Home Depot or you can order it from a vender on this forum.

I had them for a year too, but couldnt take the drone any longer and switched to Corsa, love them, and no drone. I put matting down too and it did nothing for the drone.

I think they sound good, but like the others have said, the drone is bad. If you are just driving around town with varying rpms it would be ok. If you do allot of highway driving then I would say no.

If I was to do it all over again, I wouldn't, mostly because I hate the way the tips look when installed on my 05 coupe. Yes, they do have a nice rumble.

I have a set on my 2005 6Sp and just installed them last month. My car is also a convertible, which seems to be impacted by Drown less (Trunk vs Hatch)

I like them allot and it makes the car have more of a muscle car sound...which some like and others don’t (to each his own).

It seems most of the "Drone" issues come from Automatic Transmission Cars...In my case with a 6 speed, it's easier to manipulate the RPM's to stay out of the Drone range.

I have no doubt there are more suited exhaust systems, but for the $$ you can't go wrong.

In the end, it's what you like and how much you want to spend.

Here is a tread I started on the same topic a few months ago, which may help you.... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-their-c6.html

I have flowmasters American thunder on my 05 manual trans and I think they sound good. I don't get much drone, mainly cuz I control my rpms, whereas automatics can't

I have them on my '05 M6, they sound better than stock, but they are still pretty quiet. I don't notice any drone- I actually wish they had a little more sound than they have- going down the highway, I notice the road noise more than the mufflers. They do look pretty nice, with the 2 big pipes coming out. With my past experience with Flowmasters, don't expect any performance gains- on previous small-blocks, they have actually hurt my performance slightly compared to other mufflers. They do seem to be high quality as far as fit and function. You Tube has almost all the top system exhaust sounds if you want to hear them.

Buy new or used Npp this will allow quiet and loud depending on how you feel get and x pipe to go with them and a controller from vendor.
