I would say that the computer is sensing the moisture and kicking on the light. And when you turn it off and restart it- the computer is resetting itself. I would ask the dealer the next time you are there. Or you might have someone check it out with the readout computer.

It might be that water is getting into the speed sensor connection at one of the wheels. Reading the code that is generated should tell you which wheel.

Yes, you should worry.
Usually, a Service Active Handling light will simply put the system out of action. But there have been situations where it went goofy and hit just one brake for no reason with no warning.

Until you get it fixed, best bet would be to turn the system off each time you start the engine, and drive more carefully.

Good luck with yours!

I agree on definitely getting the system checked out, as I've gotten caught in some pretty bad rain storms, and never had that happen.

I've driven mine in some brutal thunderstorms and have never had that happen. Something is wrong. Get it checked out asap.

The only time I've had it happen was right after refilling the windshield washer tank (OK, I spilled a little). I drove about 2 miles to the store, and when I restarted it didn't show up again. Haven't seen it since. I just figured that I spilled some fluid on a sensor and it dried up by the time I restarted. And yes, it's my DD, so it gets driven in the rain...
