I thought many of the comments in the C6 vs Cayman thread were pretty informative and I was driving my 6sp manual C6 today (Beautiful day in San Jose today - top down driving) and found myself wondering if GM will be introducing anything revolutionary or evolutionary with the C7 ot least catch up with todays offerings in other cars and at a minimun offer a dual clutch transmission.
I had a 2003 M3 with the SMG transmision and really liked it but it was a coupe and I like the convertible experiance. And I guess the dual clutch transmission is a (small?) notch above the SMG.
The 2009+ M3 with 400+ HP and a dual clutch sounds terrific and I was wondering how many folks checked out this car (in coupe, concertible or 4 door) when they were looking at cars to buy before buying a corvette.
Or has anyone owned one and moved from that to the corvette and if so why?
Lot's of comparisons with Porsches but not much vs M3 and I wonder how come.
Different strokes for different folks. You can weigh the pros and cons of each all day but for me cruising in an M3 listening to 60's music just wouldn't cut it. It's just not the same heritage if you know what I mean.
