Come and rear window was broken and after repair I can hear that some of the broken glass is trapped in the sheep of the rear hatch. Any hints on getting the broken glass out of the hatch?
O
What is the 'sheep" of the rear hatch??That whole plastic area where the lock is inside the car comes up easily.I'd try a vacuum cleaner if it's in a tight space.
I'm thinking the easy solution is to take it back to the glass company and tell them about the problem.
We had a windshield replaced on our C5 a thousand miles from home, a year later discovered it was leaking. Our insurance company, which had paid for the work, told us the installer wouldn't be happy about paying for the repair but if he didn't, they would remove him from their "approved" list. A week after sending him the repair invoice from our local dealer, with an explanation, we got his check.
I'm going to contact safelite tomorrow after the holiday, they did the work a little over a week ago. I'm just not sure if they'll care much and I paid for the repair out of pocket so the insurance company wouldn't help I'm sure.
I woke up one morning to find this. Hail damage. Had Safe light put in new one and heard glass in the hatch for about a month. So what I did was open the hatch and shake it up and down and little by little little pieces of glass used to roll out and fall on the back carpet. Don't ask me where they came from because I don't know but I do know they fell out of the hatch. About a month later no more noise and no more glass appeared.

Safelite did mine as well, and the cost was only $100 more than my deductable, so I paid out of pocket as well. Didn't want anything on my insurance to bump up the rates. Most likely they'll tell you to just bring it in or they'll send someone out to take care of it, but I expect the most they'll do is look at it, check the install for leaks, and then vacuum it again.

I shook the crap out of the hatch and I got some to fall out torwards the front on the car. There is a hole on each side about the size of a pen cap. I think the shards of glass left are bigger than the holes now. I took all the latches, screws and hinges off.... those are the biggest access holes. If safelite doesn't help when they get back to me captain Drexel will be making those holes a little larger. I texted my installer today with no reply, I'll call safelite in the afternoon giving the installer a little time to get back to me.
