Default 2013...Did You Know?

I feel kinda stupid here. I've been holding off ordering a GS because I was under the impression that ALL 2013 corvettes would come with the 60th anniversary badging and embroidery etc. However, I spoke to a reputable forum dealer today who told me that the 60th anniversary stuff will be an added cost in the form of an "optional package". Regular 2013 vettes will NOT come standard with all that badging etc. Did anyone else misinterpret this or am I alone on this one?

It's my understanding all the cross flag emblems will be the 60th emblem, similiar to what they did with the 25th, but the 60th anniversary package is another package all together with the blue interior etc...

all 2013's will have the 60 replacing the fleur de lis (right flag) on the nose, 60 in the gauge cluster, 60 on the door sills. this is seperate from the 60th package and was confirmed by several forum vendors. if i'm wrong, shoot them and not me I guess we will find out during the bash when all the pics and lemans blue-like color is released.

Not sure waiting for 2013 would work in my favor. Here are a few thoughts:

1. 2013's come with a price increase.
2. 60th package will add even more to that price increase.
3. Excise tax would be brutal for this year and next since the MY is 2013.
4. My current $500 private offer expires this March.
5. The 60th on the flag and dash don't seem special enough to wait.

Opinions welcome please.

Here's another thought for you. If you want SSB or Carlisle Blue, this is the last year for it. I believe there is suppose to be 3 new colors for 13. Probably bring back black, rumors about another blue and I am clueless on the third.

Little to no real difference between a 12 or 13 or even an 11 for that matter.

What private offer are you talking about? The current offer from GM is $1,000 if you have a GM product 99 and up(ends the end of Feb). Dealer can give you up to $1,500 if they want. Dealer also can discount the car. Where do you get this offer from ( $500.00 private offer from). Thanks.

Glenn, I don't have a GM vehicle so I don't qualify for the loyalty program. There is $1500 in dealer cash that comes off the price and the vehicle is also discounted heavily from MacMulkin in NH to begin with.
The $500 private offer I got is directly from GM and came in the form of an e-mail that I printed out. I simply called their customer service line and told them I've had 2 vettes in the last 4 yrs so they sent me a $500 coupon that is good for 90 days.

Well, lets see, the 2003 50th Anniversary Option Package was $5000, the Centennial Package on the 2012's was $4950. That kind of tells me the approimate dollars that they might be charging for the 60th Anniversary Package on the 2013 and that doesnt include the optional 427 motor.

I got a 2011 GS vert a couple of months ago, $17,000.00 off MSRP. Go for the best deal you can get!
