Ok searched around here on the forums and it seems like the oil temperature sensor is integrated with the oil "LEVEL" sensor located on the bottom of the engine oil pan...

So... this means I need to drain oil, change sensor... replug, refill???

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

Why not get a quote from Gene Culley at GM PartsHouse or Kevin Cassimore at PartsTaxi, both forum vendors, for the factory GM OEM part? Both of 'em have good pricing and great service.

Where is the thermometer in this thing???

Default oil temp sensor

If it has a small hole in the end it's the pressure sensor,i think the temp sesnor has a metal end.

The Oil Pressure Sensor...
is near the upper firewall on the driver's side of the engine block.
Only need to remove the valve cover plastic cover to remove and have a sensor installation socket.

The Oil Level Sensor...
also measures the temp.
This sensor is located on the oil pan under the starter.
Advised to drain oil before replacing.
