All I can find is the set of carbon fibers for $1800. Is there a vendor selling blackout/darkened headlight assemblies or are the guys who have this done having them painted?

I have/keep used Black with new lens installed for $1080.00 pr shipped.
I can also paint yours for $850.00 pr with new lens installed.
I was considering putting Veil on my headlamp covers (no hijack intended) but was warned off because the resulting film supposedly traps heat and introduces small cracks in the headlamp covers ... Any similar noticed with darkened / blackout headlights?

Like to see some pics if you can post them
i hear how these lens crack due to headlights heat. not sure how headlight lens crack but fog light lens don't. might want to put this on mythbusters!!! my headlight lens are dirty on inside. car under warranty and GM wont do a thing. is totally ridiculous. if anyone can chime in with headlight tint let me know.
Veil Laser Paint
Has anyone used the Veil product on their headlights? I did several months ago and just recently removed it since they suggest redoing it every 6 months or so. The problem is both the headlight lenses now have maybe a 100 or more fine cracks in them, like stress cracks or cracks from heating and then cooling. Some of the cracks you can feel with your fingernails others are still inside the lenses. Car is 2008 with 23K miles and dealer wants $2,300 to replace both units although they are willing to split the cost with me.
Thanks

I keep just stock Black headlights nothing tinted or filmed. As far as I am concerned the issue with film seems to be 50/50 on cause and effect. I see a lot of lights with and without film that's crazed. Some bad some real bad. I personally think it's a product of the environment mostly. 90% of the lights I refurb come from Texas, Arizona and generally the west while I do get a fair amount from the Northern states.
I hear theres a place in Dallas that does a very nice job of spray tinting. I am concidering sending a few blems there to see if the tint will obscure the obvious areas or just to be able to offer a tinted lens. Maybe tinted from the inside for durability.
