LS-3 Engines
Are the LS-3 engines in the Grand Sport manual transmission vehicles hand assembled? Someone told me that this is so. I thought that none of the LS-3 engines were hand assembled.
Thank You

Its the special low viscosity oil that is used. The sticker alone is worth 45hp.

That must be when the person building it accidentally slips in a LS7.

Non GS owners are a little touchy about the Hand Built Dry Sump motors.
Best we don't talk about these motors in front of others. If you show the Dyno results, you will be poo poo'd off the Forum.
So just take your fat, heavy, areo challenged GS and park away from the narrow, light, super fast C-6's. Don't look back at them. They all think you wasted $5K on a wanna-be ZO6 with a wimpy motor.
Enjoy your new car in private and find some new GS friends.

Not to nitpick, but it's LS3 (without the hyphen).

There all "hand assembled", just depends on what your definition of that means. No extra horsepower with the GS LS3.

No jealousy here. I pick my cars like I picked my wife. Performance, not looks. OMG, I hope she never sees this.
