Does anyone else feel like there is something mounted under the left side of the driver seat that you can feel when the seat is adjusted all the way to the lowest position (and slightly above the lowest setting)?
It's almost like theres something about the size of an amp or module of some kind that i'm sure i can feel on left left *** cheek bone.
Anyone else notice this? Any idea what it is without pulling the seat out to check it out?
Power seat motor, bose amp, or something to do with onstar/xm...that's be my guess at least.
I'm less concerned with what it is (bc i know its there) but rather if others have had similar experience with it being in the way when the seat is in the fully lowered down (closest to the floor) position. And if so what was done, if anything, to remedy it. Or if mine is the only one.
There is a seat cusion mod the can be done to firm the seat prevents the sag... Order from Westcoast corvettes. I hae done that and a couple of other mods to make the seats better
It is the seat memory module. Here is a picture. It is the big black box above the motor.
The module is clipped to the seat springs. When the seat is down all the way the module/wires and seat motor all try to fit into the same place and the module being clipped to the springs moves upwards just a bit. You can make more room by installing the seat mod which adds some extra firm foam along the sides of the seat bottom foam and a piece of jute padding between the seat bottom foam and the springs.
I have to remove the module every time I switch to my race seat since it controls the telescopic wheel and has to be in the car.

I assume the module cant just be relocated to a 'better' location under the seat?
Do you have a link where i can buy the the 'seat mod' firm foam? How difficult is the removal of the bottom seat skin?
Seat skin isn't that hard to remove. It is fastened in with hog rings but when I reinstalled it I used the plastic wire ties that were in the kit.
Here is a link to a web site that has the kit for sale. This isn't a recommendation you buy it from this forum vendor. There are several forum vendors that sell it so go with the one you like the best.
The stock foam tends to slide down along the sides of the frame so the added foam fills the space that it would fall into. If your seat foam has done that then this will push it back up and smooth out the wrinkles in the seat bottom bolster.
The more "features" the more issues there are. Thats why I bought the LT-2 package. I want to push my 2012 Explorer off a bridge due to the Ford Sync package that does not work right. Keep it simple. Memory seats? Really? Who cares if you are the only one that drives it.

This is a no-brainer... absolutely, get the kit! Available from many vendors, $40 + shipping. Includes xlnt DIY instructions.
For me, the most difficult parts of the install were figuring out how to disconnect the wiring harnesses (do NOT pull/force them) and removing the seat recline lever. It's all do-able; but like any project, there's a learning curve.
Or any decent car upholstery shop should be able to do the install.
The foam breaks down on the bolster area, and in the center as there is a grid of sharp wires that support the foam. The kit adds a nylon fabric to the bottom of the foam to repair and prevent the wire from cutting into the foam any more. They also include a piece of jute to help pad the wire grid. I installed the Jute as the instructions said it firmed up the seat. That was worth it. The other foam blocks install on the frame and under the foam bolsters. This adds support and height back to the bolsters. The answer is yes. Well thought out and complete. Worth $40.00 I don't know, but convienent for sure. Seat feels great, and mine wasn't too bad in the first place.
