Anyone know where I might obtain a rear spoiler template for the full width spoiler??? Can it be purchased from GM? My spoiler although it is a GM spoiler came from a supplier who painted it to match my car and it came with no template and the supplier knows of no template
My APR one didnt come with one so I did the following.
I put blue painters tape along the back where the spoiler would go. I put the screws in, marked lipstick on the outer screws that would need holes drilled.
The inner holes are already there, so I ligned up these and put into the holes, pushed down on the outer areas to leave marks where the screws needed to go into the body.
Drilled through the blue tape, (make sure you drill bigger than the screw so you have some play as the body is not smooth and level).
Removed painters tape and attached the spoiler.
Very easy to do.
I can't take credit for the idea as I got it from another forum member.
I think this is more accurate than a template, a template is only as good as you line it up on the body.
I did the same thing as mcandrew67. It looks perfect and was easy.

You can do it by using the methods mentioned above or you can just do it by simple measurements using a tape measure. Measure twice, drill once. Not that hard at all.
Also you want the holes to be large enough to give you some wiggle room for minor adjustment. You DO NOT want the spoiler to get in a bind when you tighten it down, that will make for a bad fit an possible gaps.
