Guess What's Missing...
Drove home tonight, pushed the ash tray, and it popped out sideways. Then, i have an empty place and have no clue how to correctly place this beautifully engineered piece of plastic back in.
Does anyone have a link or plan for putting these back in? I messed with it for about 10 minutes and decided to walk away before breaking it.

I had mine out several times fitting my radar detector controls into the ashtray space. But I'll be damned if I can tell you how. Ya gotta fiddle with it. I can say that gear on the right is the dampener that allows the door cover to move gracefully. Looks like you are missing a door, the ashtray carrier and the ashtray itself. Have fun, best of luck. Be gentle, go slow.

I'm more concerned about the small tension spring ****ing around and breaking...didn't know if there was a trick....

never had this happen before, worst case scenario, you'll have to pull the bezel and pop it back in (maybe). if i didn't have the flu, i'd go get my 07 console from the attic and look at the spring, attachment point, etc. maybe something broke on yours. i almost broke my neck looking at your pic

The best way to describe how to put it back in...
Do everything *** backwards....
ash tray front panel....ashtray "holder"...then pop in ashtray...it worked perfectly and everything is great...
