Sorry, I can't help you with that because my seats were 2LT and didn't have the seat heater elements.

Maybe someone else will chime in. Otherwise, you may need to start your own thread to get the solution.

Heaters can be disconnected under the seat, if you can get to the connector.
I don't have a photo of under the seat, but this might help you identify the connector.

I agree. You have to remove the seat from the car. The wire path is along one of the hinges and passes behind the seat bottom skin flaps that cover the back side of the seat bottom. I don't think you will need to remove the seat bottom skin but you may need to loosen the flaps by removing staples and hog rings to pull the wire and connector out.

All of the howto's for this that I've seen show a seat that has two zippers down each side of the back of the seat. Mine only has one in the center. But I can't see how to unzip it. It feels like there is a piece of stiff plastic that runs down the seam, but I can't find anything at the bottom that feels like a zipper. Granted, the seats are still in the car so getting a good look is difficult but I need to unzip them to make sure the part number is correct, and for my own curiosity.

What year is your car? Take a photo of the seat when you get the chance. I've never seen a seat back with a zipper in the center.

The zipper bottom may be tucked under the seat back so it doesn't show. It would have to unzip from the bottom up.

Those may not even have a zipper but I'm not sure about that. Hopefully someone with 2011 seats will check in.

The 2012 seats did not have a zipper. You may have to take out the center back piece, easier with the seats out of the car. Then you can see where the side bolsters and back attach to the seat frame with retainers. Those retainers would have to come out, so you can peal back the side bolster leather and the whole seat back cover piece peals off from the bottom. The back of the seat(2012) is made of an elastic type material that stretches.

I got a better look today. I don't know what it's called, but it isn't a zipper. It's two pieces of plastic that snap together along the seam. I just yanked gently at one side from the bottom and it came apart. No problem getting it back together.

Did you find that the diag cutters that you have pictured were sufficient to cut and remove all the hog rings? Would you use something different if you had to do it again?

I used a big screw driver and some pliers to pry open some of the hog rings and then worked them out. They are fairly thick so some good pressure is needed to cut them. I think I might have done a few of them with those cutters. A bigger cutter might have made it easier, but I got it done.

Wish I could help you but I don't think I had to mess with that one.

You might want to start a new thread with your question in the thread title. You might get more eyes on it that way.

thx,

Is there a difference between the 07 tensioner and the 13 tensioner electrical connections? The 1LT car didn't have side impact air bags while the 2LT did. The air bag sensing system shouldn't get upset unless you don't plug in the tensioner. One thing you should check is the yellow plug under the seat. I know on my 08 with side air bags that connector splits into two parts. That is why there are two blue connector locks fastened to it. Just push one side forward and the other side rearward and the two haves should split apart.

Since you have the seat out of the car why not post some pictures showing what your electrical concerns are?
