My wife and I have actually taken far more trips with our Harleys than we ever have with the Corvettes. Our one Corvette trip was to Bowling Green for the Corvette 50th birthday back in 2003, however, we have covered the 48 connected states several times by Harley. Here's a shot on our way to the last Key West Poker Run we did in 2010.
We will be doing Peterson Harley's Miami/Key West Poker Run for the 8th time this fall. This is the second bike I've owned that will have done the poker run twice.

I have six Harleys and a Buell to go with my Vettes. One of each family.
For the Sportster I have a 09 XR1200, in the Dyna I have a 10 Super Glide, for a Softail I have a 07 FXSTC, a 12 V-Rod Night Rod Special. in the Touring group I have a 10 Ultra Classic and a 12 Road Glide Custom. The Buell is a 08 Ulysses XB12XT.
I do get at least 18K a year on them combined but fall way short of that on the Vettes.
My bucket list goal is to do 49 states and all the Provinces. Should complete that this season. After that I may try to match it with one of the Vettes.
Not a good picture but here they are packed at the end of the garage.

It was actually one of the meaningful upgrades I've done to the bike. The Brembo master is so powerful, its illegal in WERA Supersport and Superstock classes.
It is only legal in F1, GP and Superbike classes. Spoke to quite a few fellow trackday riders & racers and all said going with Brembo calipers wouldnt yield as much of a difference as going with the 19x20 master cylinder.
And boy were they right. My right pointer finger is actually broken and doesnt even bend fully (previous motorcycle accident). There is a titanium rod in that finger. But with that Brembo master.. I'm still able to do 1 & 2 finger braking pretty easily with that setup. I cannot stress how important your brakes are when you are coming down the front straight around 170mph at VIR, Road Atlanta or Summit Main tracks.. and have to brake all the way down to about 35mph for Turn 1 on each of those tracks.
Braking after topping out on the front straight is where you see who has the biggest ***** on the track. A monkey can twist the throttle on a 1000 and see an indicated 189mph in a straight line, pretty much any 1000 will do that. But braking from the upper tripple digits all the way down WHILE turning the bike into a corner (with the rear wheel floating an inch off the ground) is pure unadulterated skill. So much so its usually where you see the fast guys on the 600's.. take the lead back from the more powerful 1000's.
Here's a pic of Nicky Hayden braking hard from tripple digit speed:

You may have seen my post a few weeks ago. I sold my Z06 because I decided I am far more passionate about riding now and it just seemed to make sense to convert my car into a much bigger saving account.
The Ninja 1000 is new....

I just sold my Goldwing to buy my first Vette vert. I have ridden my whole life. A lot of LD riding.
This past year I watched a couple of people die in separate accidents. Neither was on a bike. They were in a car and not paying attention. One was reading a text, the other was distracted. As the year went by I paid attention to what people were doing while they drove. Everything from texting, calls, eating and drinking.
I am in sales and on the road all the time. It just became unsafe out there for me on my bike. I was an ATGATT guy. I wore armored everything. Hi- viz colors and took riding refresher classes every other year to improve my skills, despite having ridden for nearly 30 years. I just didn't feel safe out there anymore.
This will be my first year in as long as I can remember without a bike. I am hoping that the Vette brings me as much joy
