like what is the known LS3 weak point and at what HP rating??

like in the GTR the connecting rods are known to be the first to fail so you change to better ones ,when making a 750hp GTR and so on.
No need to be sorry. You asked a legit question. We understood what you were asking.

Others have done a good job of posting here WRT the limits of the bottom end (cast vs. forged).

Other than that, the weak links are going to be:

clutch and tranny for manual tranny cars
tranny for auto cars
half shafts

and of course, traction / tires

No, the arrogance is from you, the person who thinks one size fits all, and believes that you are the only person smart enough to decide what that size should be.

So if you mod your corvette your considered arrogant?

The things people say on this forum sometimes make me laugh. I'm pretty sure if someone is modding it they already took into account their warranty and whether that mattered to them or not. Sometimes some people should just not respond to stuff with the same cliche' remarks.

Also turns off potential new members and gives the forum a much worse rep then any political debate in C6 gen by miles.

I'd be a little concerned about intake valves, pushrods, and valve springs too.

I'm not the only one who killed a motor and couldn't figure out which of those items failed first. Mine was the result of an over-rev. I didn't have any broken springs, but weak ones are nearly as bad.

Thanks . I should have followed the link instead of reading directly from this page. That is good info

You have been jumped on enough on this thread so I won't pile on..

BUT WTF ?

To the OP as mentioned prior the LS3 is a relatively rock solid engine and can handle most reasonably mods well... With that said, as long as you understand anytime you mod you are probably trading some reliability for additional power, and of course your warranty is bye bye.
