Question about Powerflow

The only way to avoid drone with louder mufflers, is to use earplugs, or to shift out of the 1400-1600 rpm range. Some just have a more annoying drone than others.
The closest thing to what you're asking for is a bi-mode. Quiet and no drone in one mode, loud and drone in the other. Your choice with a push of a button depending on the mood you're in at the time.

I have the PowerFlo exhaust (2007 coupe, MN6, Z51). Great sound - a little deeper pitch than NPP when open, about the same volume. The drone when I installed it was awful! Especially with a light load on the engine, in 6th, around 1500-1800 rpm.
I loved the sound of the exhaust, but when the drone kicked in, you had to yell at the passenger to be heard clearly.
I added Dynamat Xtreme to the hatch floor, to dampen the thin plastic, and then a layer of sound barrier (MadVettes insulation kit) to block sound from entering the rear hatch area.
A few hours of additional work, and about $80 for material (if you use ensolite for the sound barrier), and not only did I eliminate the drone, but the car is quieter. Later I added dampening and a sound barrier to the doors, and now the car is less noisy than my wife's Golf. The exhaust sounds good when you get on it, but there's no drone, and less road noise than there was.
The problem with low pitched exhausts is they create vibrations in the body panels, which add to the volume of the exhaust. Both sounds then get amplified by the horn loading of the rear hatch, to create drone. Just a perfect storm.

I wouldn't recommend the PowerFlo if you're worried about drone, and aren't willing to do the additional noise deadening work. But if you like the sound, and want a quieter car to boot, PowerFlo with noise dampening is a good way to go.

NPP has bypass valves. When the valves are open, the exhaust bypasses part of the sound dampening in the muffler for a louder output.
You might want to post on your regional forum - there's probably a forum member locally so you could take a listen.
