Default Exhaust mapping needed?

Hey was looking to put a z06 exhaust with the vacuum valves on my base corvette and do the whole mild to wild deal, does the car need to be mapped or anything done to the computer or will it run exactly the same with no problems? Thx

If you are talking just the axle back, then you need to have your x-pipe modified to adapt it from 2-1/2" to 3" if you have a stick.

If you have an automatic it is done by some here by cutting off the pipes right before the mufflers and welding your original pipes to the Z06 cans.

For control you can purchase a system like NPP in a box.

Thanks for the reply, I know all about hooking them up and also the m2w in a box, I'm curious does anything need to be tuned to run properly, or any computers mapped differently?

Don't need to do anything to the computer. A system like the NPP in a box will control the exhaust valves.

It has simple wiring and you will need to tap off the manifold for vacuum with a tee that is part of the kit.

Never heard of a need for tuning... folks replace the base C6 exhaust system (axle-back) all the time, no problem.
