I've read a little about the memory seat position problems a few people are having and I'm starting to have them too. Either the seat will not move (but the steering wheel telescopes) when I enter or exit. Then, later, it's liable to put the seat so close to the wheel that I think I'm going to be crushed. I read that the likely culprit is the seat motor itself losing track of where it's at. Is that about the only solution? I had a not real good experience when the seat back broke and had it replaced -- the person who worked on my car must have had *dirty* hands (from a shop area - dryish black dust/grease combo) and got some on the cloth side of the leather seat... GRRR!!! I really don't want them taking the thing out again. Where in the NE Texas / SE Oklahoma area (including the Dallas area) would be a very good Corvette dealership to do this repair? I'm also having tire pressure monitoring problems -- one day it iwll say the right rear has "XX" pressure and then, later on, it might say I have 89 pounds of pressure. I need both items repaired.
Thanks for any suggestions - I know this will take a minimum of two trips so the closer to home the better. (SE Oklahoma)
Sometimes the system just acts goofy. On our 2009, both the steering column and the seat started losing their memory after about a year. Sometimes one would work, sometimes it would not. Pretty random, and re-setting the positions would help only occasionally. Dealer replaced the memory module under warranty.
That worked fine for a couple of months, then the same problem started again. That lasted for about a week of daily driving and suddenly fixed itself.
Everything worked fine for about a year, then just the steering colum began to not move at all, or only move part way. Seat was still perfect. That lasted for about a month, and suddenly fixed itself. Bad connectors/pinched wires under the seat can be a problem, but not sure if they would effect the steering column.
