Default Window Indexing

Over the last couple of days the window indexing function on my 06 Z06 has gone crazy! When I open my driver's side door the window indexes down an inch or so as it should. When I close the door the window indexes up, then down, then up.........it will continue up, down, up, down for 5-10 repetitions then stop. It toggles back and forth the distance of the indexing function (approximately 1" - 1 1/2"). Sometimes it will stop on it's own, sometimes it will not stop until the car automatically locks after 8-10 seconds. I have tried reprogramming the index function per the owner's manual (simple process) and it will fix the problem for a brief time but then in short order begins malfunctioning again.

Anyone had this problem and know a fix?

Haven't tried that but will do so. Now it won't go up at all after I close the door.

I've just been doing more searching and found this thread.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...reindexes.html

Seems to address what I'm experiencing. I'll give this a try this afternoon.

There was a bulletin on exactly this:

I would take the pads apart and clean them rather than replacing. A light coating of WD40 on the contacts will keep it from corroding again. This usually happens more often in humid places.
