Passport 9500 Problem?

Passport 9500 Problem?
Went to start the car up and heard from my radar detector something like.."Powering off, please unplug"!!! It then just went dead. Took the lead out, put it back in and nothing......can't at present find my manual but just wondered if anyone had any ideas what has happened here? Thx.

to me. Mine is so high up, couldnt get my fat fingers in there, so took it out and Voila...an on/off button........anyway, as I have finally got it in my sweaty hand and by sheer co-incidence saw a review of the Passport 9500IX(mine is without the X that showed speed cameras, I will try and update mine and see if my detector will also get this feature...again, many thx.
to me. As I said, thought I would download all uptodate info as haven't done so since new..went to Escorts web site and downloaded the "tools" update and it's crashing my computer..think its a Zip file..not doing this again..will call them on Monday, unless someone else knows sonething I don't?

As I said, thought I would download all uptodate info as haven't done so since new..went to Escorts web site and downloaded the "tools" update and it's crashing my computer..think its a Zip file..not doing this again..will call them on Monday, unless someone else knows sonething I don't?
